Engineer Movement

Dr. Kangas is on a mission to create a nation-wide need for algae. He is collaborating with four colleges (UA among those) to use algae on a wide-scale for water filtration and the creation of biofuels.

Kangas is an associate professor in the Environmental Science and Technology Department, University of Maryland and delivered a lecture, "Challenges of Growing a Green Economy Based on Algae" at the University of Arkansas College of Engineering today.

His reaction to my request for a photo was, like many engineers, befuddled. But he was kind enough to oblige.
